Within the framework of four thematic panels, speakers shared their knowledge on the changes taking place in the area of renewable energy sources and electromobility.
Łukasz Dziamski, partner of the HANTON law firm, spoke on a panel devoted to opportunities and barriers to the development of agrophotovoltaics. Agrophotovoltaics (also known as agrovoltaics) is a relatively new development, which is growing mainly in Western Europe and Asia. In Poland, legislative measures have not yet been taken to enable the large-scale introduction of this technology on agricultural land. The development of agro-textile and related business is progressing, although legislative tools are still being sought, including at the European level, to enable the spread of this solution, in balance with agricultural production. In Poland, this is important, as agriculture is an important sector of the economy, and the use of land for crops is on average 8% higher than in the world in relation to the country's total area. Also taking into account low-lying land, which is particularly favorable from a technical point of view, Poland could become a European potentate in the field of agrophotovoltaics.

However, the lack of regulatory tools to support the development of agrophotovoltaics does not mean that even in the current legal framework it is not possible to implement it on agricultural land, as demonstrated by experts at the conference. This is also confirmed by the daily practice of HANTON Law Firm's lawyers.
