On September 23–26, 2025, HANTON Szalc Zięba & Partners had the honor of participating in TRAKO, a unique event that has long been a central platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience and the presentation of innovative solutions for the railway sector. This was the 16th edition of the International Railway Fair and the second in which representatives of our law firm took part. The event is considered one of the largest and most valued events in the rail transport industry in Poland and the second largest in Europe.
The event program was diverse and covered a wide range of activities, from conferences and seminars to industry competitions and expert debates. There were also events and activities such as the Innovation / AI Salon, the World of Small Railways, Education and Career Day, Competitions, TRAKO for Children, Handcar Races, and the 200th anniversary of the world's railways and the 100th anniversary of PKP.
TRAKO attracts participants from across the entire railway industry chain: transport management and operators, technology manufacturers, solution providers, representatives of science, consulting and financial companies, logisticians, designers, and industry organizations, as well as lawyers. These four intense days allowed our representatives not only to actively participate in substantive events, but also to engage in numerous discussions with business partners and experts. Thanks to the presence of participants and exhibitors from around the world, the event provides an excellent platform for exchanging experiences, broadening horizons, and discussing the challenges and directions of development in the railway industry.

The latest edition of the 2026 Railway Telecommunications Congress took place in February—an event dedicated to the latest trends in the digitalization of rail transport and the development of telecommunications solutions for rail infrastructure and rolling stock.
We are pleased to announce that PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. has reached a settlement with the consortium of Nokia Solutions and Networks, Fonon, and SPC-2, with the participation of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Poland.
