HANTON Law Firm’s Participation in the 2026 Railway Telecommunications Congress

This year’s conference focused on key issues related to IT network transformation, ICT security, and regulatory requirements for the railway industry.

HANTON Szalc Zięba & Partners was represented by attorney Michał Zięba, who delivered a presentation titled “The European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the NIS-2 Directive and Their Impact on the Market for Telecommunications Solutions for Railways. New Obligations for Manufacturers, Carriers, and Infrastructure Managers.”

During his presentation, Attorney Michał Zięba discussed the most important aspects of the new regulations, including:

  • The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
  • The amendment to the Act on the National Cybersecurity System
  • The relationship between the Interoperability Directive and the CRA
  • Transitional provisions and rules for applying the CRA
  • Validity of EC verification certificates and certificates of approval for the placing in service of equipment types

The issues discussed are becoming increasingly important for the entire rail transport sector—for equipment manufacturers, carriers, infrastructure managers, and IT companies operating in the industry alike.

We would like to thank Mr. Michał Putkiewicz for the invitation and congratulate the organizers on a valuable event.
