HANTON Law Firm participates in the V edition of the “Railway Law” conference

Railroad Law is a regular item on the annual calendar of HANTON Szalc Zięba & Partners events, so we could not miss this year's conference “Railway Law - Investments, Negotiations, Procedures” organized by the ProKolej Foundation in cooperation with the Railway Transport Office.

The event gathered a total of nearly 250 participants, and the main topics discussed by the speakers were:

  • the need for additional facilitations in the investment process in the rail sector (including for the construction of intermodal terminals)
  • property tax for freight terminals
  • land use planning and development
  • risk management and vehicle approval

The law firm HANTON Szalc Zięba & Partners was represented at the event by attorney-at-law Ewelina Nieznalska, attorney-at-law Maksymilian Mahor and Managing Partner, PhD Michał Zięba, who gave a presentation entitled Barriers to the development of intermodal terminals - location issues, provision, de lege ferenda postulates.
